scooter oil change

Postby scootertrash » Thu Jul 21, 2005 12:35 am

Does anyone know how to change the engine oil on a 125R Moskito?
It's a 2003. The manual tells you how to change the gear oil but not the engine oil!? On top of that the manual is horribly, I mean horribly translated from the german. A warning if you post a response.......
I'm not a big-time wrench. Baby steps please.

Hello phlat65,
I'm in North Seattle. So you're not very far from me.
I work swing shift. I'm off on sundays and mondays. Let me know what your availibility is. I just need help w/ knowing which screws
let the oil out. Like I said my manual is pretty useless for this mundane procedure.

welcome

learn to service it well and keep notes on what you learn and
do there are very few scooter riders on here and there may be others
that need help now or later
the gear box oil and the engine may be all the samething....

the books on my saxon tour are the same way no info on an oil change
or how to take care of the enclosed drive chain or adjust it

as for your rack if you can weld... make a new one your self and learn to leave some of the stuff at the house when you go on a trip :-D

glad to have you aboard :smt006

road spairs =
gas cable
clutch cable if not an automatic
tire patch kit if it does not have a spair tire
and of course a sparkplug (if its a 2smoker a box of plugs :-D )
