Replacement 7" headlight unit

If anybody is interested I have just fitted a replacement headlight unit which I purchased on eBay - Classic 7" Sealed Beam Headlight Conversion H4 Halogen Headlamp With Bulbs 7014 (361192938957). Metal backed and glass lens and at only £13.68 including p&p it sounded too good to be true. I had already upgraded my TS250/1 to 12volts using the PowerDynamo system and had bought a 12 volt bulb to fit the original headlight unit but since the bulb blew thought I'd convert to the H4 fitting. The unit and bulbs arrived well wrapped and literally fitted straight in no problem. The original electrical connector fitted straight onto the H4 bulb. All that was necessary was to fit a spade connection to the side lamp wire and make up a short earth wire with a loop connection on one end and spade on the other. The H4 bulb seems pretty bright and has a good beam pattern on high and low so all in all pretty pleased. The unit even has a rubber cover to fit on the back to keep moisture out!
