What is the hole next to the neutral light sensor? (ETZ 251)

Just a quickie, what is the hole to the left of the neutral light switch/sensor in this picture ?

Ahhh, many thanks. Oh well, it has now been replaced by some epoxy putty..........

just to clarify the hole looks to be the selector drum positioning shaft mine is also leaking although mine has the aluminium disc inserted over the end of the shaft albeit a little twisted from your photo yours is missing also it doesn't look as though there is a shoulder for the disc to butt up to but I will try to align mine with the drum positioning shaft end and let you know how I get on I wonder if a rubber tap washer and some chemical metal -JB weld would cure this leak ?

Ahhh, selector drum positioning shaft. I have had a go with epoxy putty and it seems to be holding so fingers crossed I have cured the leak now......

it has been said when you get all the leaks stopped
the oil will run out the little hole in the end of the handle bar rubbers
