Hi, I'm Jake, and new to this forum, although I've lurked on it a few times previously. As a bit about myself, I bought a MZ TS125 that had been sat in a garden for 15 year about 6 months ago and have been trying to get it back on the road. It had a standing seizure, so I changed the piston and rings, gave it a clean up as best as I could, rewired it, put a new battery in tried my luck, but haven't been able to get it to run for love nor money.
I was wondering if anyone may be able to advise me as to whether I should really just bite the bullet, strip the engine and replace the crank seals, or whether I may have missed something obvious that's preventing it running. As a bit of further detail on the matter, the bike has a nice fat blue spark, timing seems about right, I gave the carb a strip and clean and that seemed all good (although await a new rubber plunger for the choke as that had perished) and compression feels ok from a 'put your finger over the plug hole' test so from that side of things all seems ok.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Jake
