stator or regulator rectifier not charging? (MZ 125 SM)

Hey guys, put lots of search terms in the title for future reference!

I was hoping someone with a working generator could tell me what the resistance should be between the two wires coming out of the stator (black wires on one of mine, yellow on the other)? The service manual says 10 Ohms, but I'm getting 5 Ohms off both of mine (I have a spare engine). The bike isn't charging and I'm trying to confirm its the reg/rec before replacing as I doubt they're cheap.

Oops, a few minutes with a multimeter made it clear I didn't connect the reg/rec live wire to the battery (thought it was crimped to the main live lead to the starter, it isn't, needs bolting to the battery +ve terminal separately).

Getting a healthy 14v now! Hoep this helps someone.
