MZ 125 SM Coolant level

Postby crocodilemick » Sun Aug 16, 2015 9:24 am

Hi fellow MZ riders (mostly Dave, I'm sure you'll know the answer!)

Where are the coolant fill marks? I've (finally) taken the MZ out for a shakedown ride and she's dribbling a bit of coolant out of the overflow, not surprising as I filled it to the brim. The manual says "to the lower edge of the fill marks". But I don't know where the fill marks are!

Cheers

my rt125 seems to settle out just to where you can see it at the fill hole but it has only 1 radiator

My bad, didn't RTFM properly (page 55, I skipped to 57 accidentally), you're supposed to fill it from the left radiator (there's a little bleed screw you pull out and fill in there), the lower level mark is the radiator pressure valve mating surface (so fill to the brim!).
