MZ ETZ 125 piston ring dimensions?

Postby NZGlyn » Fri Nov 14, 2014 8:46 pm

Hi there, I've had 3 250 MZ's in the past in the UK and great bikes they were. Here in New Zealand they are very scare and CZ's are alot easier to come by (but I know not as good). I have a 1976, Type 476, CZ125 which I have just had re-bored to 53mm. Problem is that the piston has no rings. I noticed the ETZ 125 piston (second overbore) is 53mm. Mmm. My question is for anyone that maybe has some new, or used MZ ETZ 125 piston rings. Please could you measure the vertical width depth and horizontal width in mm to see if I can fit these to my CZ piston. If a digital caliper is available that would be really great, or if not a manual caliper or ruler will be fine. Thanks - Glyn New Zealand.

Thanks for that information. Just measured an old ring and looks like the size will be fine. Do you know which company could supply me 4, 53mm bore rings posted to New Zealand? Thanks. :D
