- This is the look I would like to acheive
Hi All
I am new to this site and would like to say hello....
I would also like some advice please
I am not new to motorcycles but I am new to the MZ scene..
If anyone cares to have a chat.......... I have just been given an MZ TS 250 circa late 70's, as much as I like the quirkiness of the standard bike I feel that I want to make a 'Café Racer' from it as I have seen a one on Google that has caught my eye.
My questions are as follows
if one junks the air box and uses a K+N will I need to re jet?
If I want to run a slightly larger rear wheel (AN AKRONT 3.50x17 inch RIM) will I need to modify the swing arm? and what would be a good tyre to use ?
How large can I go to achieve a 'fat ' look with a front tyre on a standard rim of should I go for a wider rim laced to standard hub ?
Is there a wiring diagram on her somewhere that will allow me to have a very basic loom( front light, rear light, brake light, horn, high low switch, no ignition barrel/switch just an on/off switch and obviously power to coil) ?
I have room to place a battery under the hump of the seat but want to keep section where air box was clear.
I think its best to point out that I wont be racing anywhere on it this is more aesthetic
I would also be interested to know whether there is anyone in or near Medway in Kent who may be able to give me any pointers ( payment in beer and crisps )
Thanking you all in advance
Smudge
