Hi guys,
Does a 1979 TS 150 require a head gasket?

Many thanks

Nope, no head gasket.

...but if you think the head is leaking, you can always smooth the mating surface down a bit with some grinding paste or 800-1600 grit sandpaper on a bit of perfectly smooth glass. Plenty of hints about good grinding technique online.

Also, make sure the head bolts are torqued to the right spec - M10 nuts, so about 10Nm (9ft-lb). Be sure to tighten them in a diagonal pattern to avoid distorting the head.
