New Saxon owner in Charente France

Hi there, just bought (through a friend of a friend) a UK (P) Reg 500 Saxon Tour.
I hope someone will pick up on this and point me in the right direction, as firstly I'm looking for a headlamp (for European driving) and secondly I'm seeking expertise to identify and service the carb. I've heard mention of Dell Orto qnd Bing, but can see no marks on the outside to help me. Does anyone know (sight unseen) if they are all the same or which it's likely to be.
More as time passes...

The Bing would be a Constant Velocity type as fitted to BMW Airhead twins. Looks like this:
