660 Sport fuses and Tach questions.

Postby Dave-the-rave » Fri May 16, 2014 1:37 pm

So looks like I fried a fuse wiring up a replacement Rev counter. So far I'm only finding 3 fuses which the wiring diagram seems to confirm. Is this right folks? Seems like very little compared to a Jap bike.

Found so far...Blue 15A (Main fuse)
Violet 3A (Lights)

.......and an in line fuse for the cooling system. Any ideas the Amps on that fuse please? Mine doesn't say nor does the wiring diagram.

No joy with the rev counter either. I'm pretty sure I wired it right as per the diagram and tach instructions. I hooked it into the 3 wires going to the stock tach. To be fair it's a cheapo Kege from China. I know from another Forum they might not take a strong enough signal from a TCI so thy need a CDI.

Is the Skorpion electronic ignition TCI? If so it might work hooked up to the coil. I saw a You Tube video once showing someone running the Kege on a Skorpion so maybe he had it on the coil.

Last question...Any recommendations for replacement electronic rev counters known to work on the Skorpion? It must be a needle type. 'Er indoors won't settle for a digital display.

Thank yers kindly.

Well a 15A fuse brought it back to life. No suggestions on an aftermarket tach anyone?

Ah thanks for that mate but I'd rather buy one than build one. I can just about manage a wiring diagram but that stuff is way over my head.
