rear tyre size

Postby flatyre » Sat Mar 08, 2014 5:52 am

sorry guys, another question, my ts150 is running a 3.00x18 tyre which needs replacing and I'm wondering if its possible to fit something a bit wider? There is a good inch clearance either side of the existing one. A wider tyre would be purely for looks, and I don't mind if it mildly affects the handling (not that the bike will be going particularly fast) but don't want something that handles like a pig! cheers

My ES150 came with a 3.25 x 18 on the rear. As it's relatively new, it's still on there. It's not noticeably different to ride than my old TS125 which had the correct size tyre on. Once it wears out, I'll be going back to a 3.00 x 18.

I did once buy a TS150 which had a 3.50 x 18 on the back. That not only looked stupid but, worse, the handling was all over the place.
