help identifying bike

Postby flatyre » Sun Feb 02, 2014 4:06 pm

hi everyone I just bought an MZ which has been sitting in a barn for over 20 years. The old guy who owned it hasn't seen the tax book in years and can't remember anything about it other than first registered in 1977. The reg is NOI4864 which is about right ( I'm in Northern Ireland), the bike is complete minus an indicator and tool box cover. It turns over but has no spark. Obviously needs a new battery but other than 6 volts I'm not sure what battery to get. here's a link with a picture minus the seat, and the chrome tank panels have been painted black, I think its a ts150 but if anyone can tell me what model it is and what battery to get that would be a big help?

Poor thing! It is a TS150 (or 125) MZ never bothered changing the model designation over the years!. Battery would have been a 6V 11ah Yuasa list 6N11A-1B but basically anything 11AH or above that fits will do.
ES250 Doppelport, ES250, ES250/1, ES250/2,ETS 250, ES150, ETS150, BK350, IWL Pitty, SR56 Wiesel, SR59 Berlin, Troll............ and thats just the German two strokes!
