clutch cover removal

Postby Paul50 » Sun Feb 02, 2014 8:29 am

Hi. I need to remove the clutch cover on my ETZ 251 lux (95) as it's leaking oil badly.
I have disconnected the oil pump, and clutch cable. Also the gear shift pedal. There is no tacho drive on this bike as it's electronic.
The cover pulls away about 2mm and then fouls up on something. I have followed my Haynes manual, but something is preventing the cover coming free.
Any help please?

Another name put to a poster here thanks to the wonders of Facebook!

One other tip.... Get a proper MZ manual and throw the Haynes as far away as you possibly can, they aren't known as Haynes Little book of Lies for nothing!

There may not be a tacho drive, but there is still a retaining bolt under the tacho cover! :smt023
