What fork boots on a Silver Star?

Postby MZCountryRider » Sat Jan 18, 2014 11:20 am

I'd like to put fork boots on my Silver Star to protect the tubes and add a little visual "weight" to the front end. Has anyone done this? What fork boots did you use (manufacturer and part no.)? I've found a few searching the internet, such as the Daystar MX00480B: http://www.daystarmx.com/productdetail.php?productID=980 but can't be sure that they'll fit. Any input would be appreciated.

For anyone interested, I've purchased these from my Guzzi parts supplier:
http://www.mgcycle.com/product_info.php ... ts_id=4443
Haven't had a chance to install them yet, but they look like they'll fit perfectly.

All I need is a free day when my lift is unoccupied, so I can install those, the 16 tooth sprocket and slightly higher/wider handlebars. I also need to make mounts for the hard cases I bought to use as luggage. Will be a great little tourer once I'm done...
