Tyres for 251 with sidecar

Postby Tony the Skin » Tue Dec 31, 2013 2:44 pm

I want to replace the tyres on a 251 which has the original size wheels. The bike now has a sidecar attached so I am looking for tyres front and rear with a square profile. Any suggestions please.

With standard wheels, Mitas H-05 are a flatter profile than most and cheaper than almost everything except Vietnamese no-names.

They last well, and work well for me on a solo. My Ural sidecar riding friends use Mitas H02, but they're not available in 251 sizes.

Heidenau produces the K29 tyre.
It is especially for sidecars.
