What would the approx cost be of a complete refurb of a TS250/1 engine?
I appreciate that there are many determining factors but just a ball park figure would be nice!
Also, any recommendations for someone to carry out the work, either professionally or a competent DIY'er who has done this before.
Cheers

Assuming no work needed to the gearbox or clutch, I'd budget for the following
Bearings and seals: £60
Conrod plus fitting: £100
Piston and rebore: £80
Gaskets / o-rings / circlips / oils: £20
Getting the engine apart can take between two and six hours, depending on how reluctant the screws are to come out and how badly they've been bodged by a previous owner.
Reassembling with new shiny bits, carefully checking and measuring as you go along, allow three to four hours.
Multiply those times by how much you're willing to pay!
Then ring Burwins and see how much they'd charge.

Blimey!
Did ring Burwin's but bloke I need to speak to is on hols!
Maybe I could do it myself - just seems a bit much with no one to 'hold ya hand' just in case.

Try ringing Mollsprings in Holmfirth. They did my Es250 engine a while ago - new bearings, seals etc (but not piston) and it was a bit under 300 quid.
