sealed batteries

Postby ericetz301 » Mon Sep 30, 2013 6:05 am

hi folks,
collective wisdom required, please.
Is it OK to fit a sealed / gel battery with my old stile dynamo charging system?
Ive heard that the more variable charging voltage / charge rate from dynamos can do damage to this type of battery.
any information would be useful.
cheers Eric.

if it's a generator i like lead acid type batteries
if it's an alternator type either should work...

He he .. back when I had a high miler GS500 I pulled the airbox out and fabbed a batter box that would take any battery sitting length wise ...
I think the silly etz9bs in the MZ skorpion is just about the wimpiest out there ...
The Savage - essentially suzuki's single has a etz15 ... a 14 amp battery.

Cool.
