Baghira Mod's??

Postby bluerob » Sun Sep 08, 2013 3:26 pm

Hi All,

After having my Baghira for just over a week now, i'm finding a few issues that I want to rectify.

1. The front brake lever is bent, any idea's where I can get a replacement one?

2. Which throttle tube do I need to make it a quicker action throttle?

3. Carb modifications? Been reading up on it? Where do I start? All I want is the bike to wheelie....

4. The only mod's on the bike is an aftermarket exhaust, and some Acewell clocks. Any other modifications recommended??

Cheers

Break levers seem to be limited to replacing the original grahams in the UK or have a search on the forum for an american supplier (if there is one)

Theres this for the carb,

Carbs are a pain in the ass to set up right, keep it simple and remember what your original setting were so you can get back there if you need to.

i soo agree with duncmac about the carbs,,if its popping a lot then i would change the pilot jet first and wind in the pilot screw in a couple of turns and leave it at that,,if you want to adjust the mixture further the raise the needle by one notch.everything i did to mine i'm slowly correcting back to stock.
heres where in at now ,
pilot screw is now 5 turns out
Mikuni Pilot Jet Low Speed RS HS HSR VM28/486/40 slightly filed at the end for length adjustment,
135 main jet
raise needle by one notch,=2nd from pointy end
then stop stop stop stop , the carbs are soo hard to remove it will drive you insane and damage the frame/loom/rubbers/cables
So you want to wheelie,, just leave the front but change out the rear sprocket for a bigger one
Oh mutly,,you did it again, she he he he he ehheheheh

just leave the front but change out the rear sprocket for a bigger one

smaller front sprocket puts to much pressure on the output shaft

Do you have a link for that brake lever by any chance?

RE: The carb's, can someone tell me exactly what jet's & needles etc i need?

Just so I can get a list together and sort it all out at once, instead of doing individual bits.

I use the bike for commuting as-well so don't really want to change the gearing to much, what rear sprockets are suggested and what is the standard size?

Cheers
