Sidecar:- ETZ250 to 251

Postby Tony the Skin » Sat Aug 24, 2013 3:26 am

A mate of mine has an ETZ250 with a chair on. He wants to remove it and put it on a 1994 ETZ251. The hope was that this would be an easy move. Are the frames identical ?. Will the connection points be the same ? The chair is a fairly lightweight Squire.

Same frame so should bolt straight on. Make sure everything is good and tight but don't crush the box frame, I have seen one torn through after a few years of spirited riding

Thanks for the reply. On the 250 the front connection from the sidecar was joined to the bike at the bottom of the Yoke using a bracket that is bolted through the Yoke. It seems to be higher on the 251 than on the 250. Hope to have another look at it on Tuesday.
