GENERATOR COILS on ETZ

Postby LANDSURFER » Sun Mar 10, 2013 7:54 am

My charging light would not go out and there was no charge current to the battery.
Which wire from the diode pack/ voltage regulator provides the current to excite the generator coils ?
I have rigged up a seperate supply to the coils via a switch on the handlebars, which makes all run fine, but would like to re-wire the beast properly.
Bike is an 1987 ETZ 250 with a 251 engine fitted with a 300cc conversion. Runs and starts fine, just need to sort this niggle.
The road goes on forever.

To be anti war is human.
To be anti British Soldier is unacceptable.
