the seat bolts look straight up from the rear axles under the lip edge of the seat
its a 13 mm nut on each side
if its like my Saxon tour 500
looks almost the same as mine except the 2 cycle engine

did you knock the kill switch to off on the right hand control
and give the wire harness a good look over
for loose or bad wires spade lugs are bad about losing there grip after a long sit
my wire harness is similar but lucky me i have only seen 1 2smoker in person
all mine are 4 cycle
good luck with it its a nice looking bike
dave
ps check the gas the run may have mixed up the crud in the tank and stopped up the carb

Hi there, time served grizzled veteran smelling slightly of 2-stroke reporting for duty!

Need a few more details. You say it doesn't want to start after a run. Does it start again when you have left it for half an hour or so? If so i would guess the coil is on the way out. Before delving in the electrics and associated black arts, check that the fuel tap isn't partially blocked , carb isn't full of crud, and it's always worth sticking a new plug in. Are the lights bright and the indicators working? If so the charging system is probably ok.

UK bikes don't have a kill switch Dave, seems like that's a US thing. Was wandering through eBay.com and came across this switch

mz run switch.JPG

Which ( apart from the fact someones stuck it on the wrong side) would on a UK bike be the indicator switch ( up for left, down for right). The similar switch on the left hand side was the headlamp dip switch ( and had the horn button)

With the later switchgear ( I was going to say modern but that would be an exaggeration) there is no switch gear on the right hand side, and the left hand cluster has dip, horn and indicators in one unit. This applies to the 2-strokes, not had a Rotax engined MZ (yet!)
