so heres an update on the spokes thing
I had the tyre removed from the wheel at my local kawasaki leicester shop.(£5)
looking at the broken spoke i realise that another spoke has to be undone to allow the broken one to be fitted. So im attempting this only to realise the spokes have to be bent a little to allow them to clear the rim,i have a go at bending the broken one to see how springy they are and to my surprise they are very soft and not springy a tall.
now then?? im not going to just bend the spokes all gun ho - - i need a tool,,It turned out i have one that done the job perfectly,,it bent the spoke in just the right amount and the reset the spoke to the proper shape as well..WHAT WAS IT? YOU SHOUT!!
so the job turned out to be very straight forward , just a cautionary note..remove any burrs from the inside of the wheel rim ( spoke screws ) before you put the inner tube back in.
i guessed the tension of all the spokes by tapping them with the broken spoke and listening to the tone generated,if you do want to check all spokes then start at the air fill hole and check every fourth spoke untill you have checked them all , quarter turn only, but this is only if all your spokes are loose
happy days,,
new tail tidy next
Oh mutly,,you did it again, she he he he he ehheheheh
