Mastiff 98 clutch cover replacement after accident

Hi
I had an accident where I broke both of my wrists 6 weeks ago. I am almost ready to saddle up on my mastiff but it has been very difficult to find a replacement for the clutch cover. This are the pics, https://picasaweb.google.com/1036678788 ... directlink
I tried to find one for the Raptor but looks like it won't work. I would really appreciatte some help or advice here. If not I think that weld it will be the only option, but since it is a big oart I do not think it will hold up.

picture is of alternator cover not clutch,try searching for yamaha xt casing and not just mz/raptor.
i once holed the bottom of the crankcase on my xr250,cleaned up the area with acetone and cut a V shape with a sharp knife/file then filled with chemical metal which can be sanded to shape afterwards and as the casing is knackerd anyway it will give you something to do while you wait for a spare to turn up also will be good physio for your wrist
just make sure all traces of oil are removed from area,good luck with it.

Looks like you are right. I will look for the right cover, I do not know why but I thought it was the clutch cover. Since I am not familiar with the product, what brand of chemical metal is well known for thiis kind of jobs? I have read thst people even used JCWelder to temporary fix this kind of things.

i use a branded product,i assume /hope the quality is better araldite is very good,high temp rating and sets very quickly and imho permanent,well all the things i have used it for its still doing what its supposed too
