Saxon Tour seat

Postby leswaller » Tue Aug 28, 2012 4:21 am

The seat on my Saxon Tour is very uncomfortable, I get a numb bum after about 50 miles and it is very slippery. Anyone got any suggestions to remedy either of these issues?

try washing seat with tide soap and rinse it good.
sounds like some one put Car Polish by Armor All®: on it
never use that stuff on a seat

any one know a real good cure say some thing

as for seats i have never had one that did not pound my butt in to submission in short order..

Thanks David, I will give the cover a good scrubbing. The seat seems much harder than my other bikes, I have two Velocettes and an early BMW and I can ride these all day without getting saddle sore. I wonder if it is something to do with the quality of East German foam. It isn't the suspension as I have replaced the rear shocks with adjustable ones that also have adjustable air dampers

Try using a gel pad, or sheepskin cover, both usually available on ebay.
