RT125 Front sprocket lock washer

Postby djsbriscoe » Sun Apr 22, 2012 10:21 am

Tried fitting the front sprocket lock washer behind the sprocket nut. There is no room for it to fit onto the drive shaft splines.
There is some movement in the drive shaft but it will not move out far enough for the lock washer to fit. I could have sworn there was more movement in the shaft when I took the old sprocket off. Does the shaft move out enough to also this washer to fit at some point. Can't move it by hand and I can't line the washer splines up with the drive shaft splines as it has to go behind the nut. And then I can't see them line up.
Any tips and trick on fitting this properly. Thanks.

David.

check this link for part 15
http://www.grahamsmotorcycles.com/2010% ... ission.htm

item 15___ 3746030000 SLEEVE
it sets this space and may be defective or seized on the shaft from being bent from past nut tightings
the seal runs on it and i change it out along with the sprocket

Yes, I will try that.
