Gear oil level.

Postby tonyc » Tue Jan 03, 2012 5:10 pm

My old TS had a screw in the side of the engine, this was used to measure the amount of oil in the gear box. When the oil started to dribble out, there was enough in the box. Is this the same on the ETZ 251? I cannot find anything in the book about this, other than fig 208, with number 1 beside it.

It fell over in the wind today and oil leaked out. I am trying to work out where it came from.

There is one behind the gear lever. As to oil leak check the oil tank hasn't leaked

Thanks for that. The generator side of the bike hit the ground, but the oil level does seem a little low. I'll keep my eye on it. Thanks.
