Postby rodge70 » Fri Oct 21, 2011 4:18 pm

any bright ideas to sort out this little problem, fuel inlet spigot on carb has come loose, only noticed because starter motor looked a bit grubby and found pipe attached but spigot loose in carb body, managed to push back in but will work loose again, any suggestios for securing back in place, thought about chemical metal stuff unless someone knows of beter method, cheers rodge.

That is an interesting problem....thought they were held inplace with an o ring as a push fitting..could be wrong...think I'd do a bonding agent on it like JB Weld (permenant) or RTV silicone(flexible)

have not pulled it right out to see if its held by an o ring, just pushed it back in with pliers as did not want to tempt fate  have now bought chem metal to hold it there,so will pull it out to see if there is an o ring, cheers
