Hi All
Can someone who has 'been there' clarify if the crankcases have to be split to replace the seals in the Supa 5 engine. Also, does anyone know the dimensions of the seals. I understand these are always quoted in 3 figures (diameter of centre hole, overall diameter and thickness of the seal). I was given a pair of 25/72/7 seals but am not sure which MZ models they fit.
Cheers

Hi mitzi.
Yes in all the 5 speed engines the crankshaft oilseals can be replaced without splitting the crankcase.
Just make sure to protect the crank from scratches.

Hi
The size is right, they are 25/72/7.
I prefer Viton seals, because they are more resistant against the additives in the modern fuels...
