rt125 03 plate tick over problem

Postby timebandit43 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 4:33 am

have my rt 125, had the carb cleaned and set up, was stood for a little while (due to weather), started it up using the choke and then after a while turned choke off, it cut out, put the choke back on again then went for a spin, every time got to a junction unless held a few revs on it would cut out, is this due to the tick over set up or something more sinister.
thanks steve

they are fussy about crud in the fuel
lean the bike against a wall on its right side
and there is a screw in bottom of left side front of float bowl
a long Philips will reach it it is the float bowl drain...
drain bowl and give it an other ride
may have to give it a try of 2
its a regular thing on mine every time i go on reserve
i have to give it a drain
the long Philips screw driver is the only tool i carry around town
also happens at fill up when i stir up the tank
Dave

do lean against wall or post as it does not drain the junk when on the side stand
or work stand .. it needs to lean to right side
