I had another bike to look at the wiring shcmatic but there was no battery in it . The tail light comes on in the key positions that it is suposse to and also when I touch the front brake I just here a click ? I hate electrical !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative earth. Buy yourself a multimeter off Ebay and check this yourself. They really come in handy for checking fuses, wiring, bulbs etc. The click could be the mechanical voltage regulator. Have you tried putting a new tail light bulb in?

David.

The tail light comes on like it should but the head light does'nt . the bulbs good checked it. The clicking is coming from a round deal looks like a flasher fuse I'm not sure what it is.

Guys,

Just joined up and been looking around. Reference the TS150 wiring diagram... I've got the real thing that falls out of the little book that comes with a brand new 1979 TS150. It shows the TS125 as being the same as the TS150 and over the page is the wiring diagram for the TS250/1. A PDF scan is do'able if anyone wants one (and not too many ask).

The round thing is the flasher Relay, it will have 2 terminals.

Check the earth wires coming back from the rear indicators, they get knackered easily. The front indicator will be a knackered bulb or grotty contacts, the MZ ones go quite bad.

The Tail light bulb comes on separately from the headlight, you need to make sure the key is turned all the way.
