MERRY XMAS TO THOSE WHO KNOW. YESTERDAY AT RIVINGTON BARN, LANCASHIRE, MET FOUR SUPERMOTARD OWNERS ? AND THEY ALL HAD SPRING LINKS CONNECTING THE DRIVE CHAIN, ANY MZ RIDERS DOING THE SAME. SCOTT OILERS RECENTLY OBSERVED ONE FITTED TO A TDM THAT HAD THE INJECTOR FITTED OVER THE GEARBOX SPROCKET, SEEMS A GOOD IDEA ? ANY COMMENTS. CHEERS TO ALL. JIM.

I dont have a problem with split links on bikes like the Baggy. I wouldnthave one on a sports bike though..

Scottoilers, great piece of kit. I am waiting for the launch of their MX version which has a sqeezy grip that dispenses the oil. very low tech , very effective though..... if its cheap I will buy one...

I have had a scott oiler fitted to by baggi for about 2½ years and its real good. The original rear chain only lasted for 7000 miles (used in all weathers), I am know on my 2nd replacement chain and it has plently of life in it. Only removed the first replacement chain as the sprockets had worn out (2 rears and 3 fronts to date) and the new chain came as part of the set. The old chain is still in good condition and is in my workshop, all lubed up as a spare in case I or my freinds need one in an emergency.

You must bring your spares out with you on the next rideout. Now I have got a taste for dropping her, I expect it will be a feature of my riding :-D

Got the brake pedal ordered up along with a new mirror which was cracked... total was £22 so not too bad. Should be here in time for Boxing Day..... I just wished I had caught up with you all for Pauls offroad ride... I did put a message on Snatchs phone but he didnt get it in time...teach me to chicken out of an early start

Its a shame you missed the ride out. You never know you might have managed to stay on your bike like the rest of us did (except a little off by Stoo).
As for spares, didnt need any of them on the ride out either
