Dellorto carburetor jetting?

Postby MZCountryRider » Sun Jul 25, 2010 9:12 am

Picked up a Dellorto PHBE 38 carburetor for my Rotax 504 from an MZ Saxon Tour. Does anyone who has fitted a 38 or 40 to their Rotax powered MZ have a record of what jetting they used? Right now it's jetted for a KTM 2 stroke, so most of it will need to be changed. But since I only paid $10, it won't break the bank to do so! Thanks!

Thanks Don. I think that's the same info. in my Rotax manual, will be a good starting point even though my PHBE is a 38mm non-pumper. Unfortunately it doesn't mention what number slide. There's a #30 in there now, but most 4-strokes use #40-#60. The sportier Moto Guzzi 1000s use a #60 so that's where I'll probably start. Cheers,
