okay, i have never had to take the seat off as i bought it with a new battery 2 years ago, but now think it wise that i know how to take the seat off to get to the battery and air box/filter.( i assume that is how i access it) if i need to. ok, how do i do it.. i assume you loosen the two screws on the seat.. then what.. is there a lock or thing i need to trip, or does it slide or lift off in some method.

Other than the two as you've noted don't miss the one under the seat. You'll see it from the underside of the rear fender section, the only one that you might identify almost directly above the rear tire and centered.
Other than that the seat slides back and off. It is really pretty straight forward.

thank you, i would have never found that little screw there.. the give away was it has the same quarter size slot as the two at the front on each side..
