rotax air filter..

Postby 95SaxonTour » Fri Dec 25, 2009 6:28 pm

Does anyone know what other commonly found air filter
will work in the saxon series? I seem to recall somebody
saying that the bmw r1200c air filter will work. Has
anyone used this?

thanks
Ryan

Re: rotax air filter..adaptor more detail

Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Fri Dec 25, 2009 6:44 pm

it works
needs an adapter made from the bottom of a peanut can to make it fit
added detail see picture
can is used by many company's to package food
planters nuts and Frito corn chips and many others

cut fiber from bottom and hold the bottom in a 3 jaw lathe chuck
cut hole 60 mm and mount back on bike using the new piece as a
spacer
place lip edge of can toward filter
place original metal cone in hole and mount filter
does that make everyone happy

Thank you David!

I think the filter works also for ETZ models.
