Help re-assembling my 2001 660 baghia

Postby michaelinseattle » Tue Nov 24, 2009 3:04 pm

Hi Im new to the forum and have a 2001 MZ 660 Baghira that had a cyclinder issue 2 years ago. I pulled the top end out and its now a 680. My problem is right in the middle of my rebuild I was hit on my Aprilia. Im now back into finishing the MZ, but all I had to work with is a Raptor 660 maanual for the engine and my memory from the tear down.

I having a heck of a time figuring out how to route all the control cables and a few of the small tubes.

Can anyone help with a diagram or good photos of the cable routing and or fuel system tube routing?

thanks

Don't have a pic handy, but they just run down the left side of the frame, between the radiators and thier mounting points. think mine are loosely zip tied to oil return line on left etc. Just lay them along the side, in an order that eliminates tangling and binding. Actually the clutch cable might run down the right side of frame, don't have bike handy to look right now.

Michael,

I would be happy to email pictures to your address if you've not gotten anything done yet.
Feel free to ask for specific angles and descriptions. I could put blue tape arrows where the cables pass through an area from the one side to another if that would help as well.

Regards,
Robert

Yes, that was me. I was hit on my Falco on Nov 21st 2008 and havnt been back on a bike since. I was in the middle of repairing my MZ and I'm now able to use tools again. I got banned from the Aprilia forum for life after a guy said I deserved to be hit because I didnt carry insurance? anyway it turned into a ugly americans VS the world fight and the fact I was on meds didnt help.

My falco still is sitting where it was parked last year! That will be my next project. I cant wait to see how the MZ runs noe that it's a 680cc. Thanks for your help.
