Postby robert mack » Mon Aug 03, 2009 1:50 pm

ive replaced the headlight with a universal one. the last owner mucked about with the headlight wiring and basically im left with three wires.

brown, yellow and white. can anyone tell me the correct positions for these, ie brown left yellw middle and white right. does that make sense??

brown is ground in most german wiring
handle bar switch puts power to yellow or white as needed
reverse if wrong light is coming on
added this
for some one else trying to sort out the wires

Robert the fellow that had that rt before you must have done a job on it

he did mate

when i got it he had took the halogen fitting off the bike and replaced it with a bayonet type candle bulb. anyway, replaced the headlight last night with a
universal type one with a overall diameter of 8inches. it looks huge though :D
only one more thing to do now and thats the tyres. front should be 110 but is 120 for some strange reason(previous owner has a lot to answer for)

all the best

now it looks like a proper bike
