MZ Skorpion keeps jumping out of 2nd gear

hi, i recently brought a 1998 MZ Skorpion but I've found that it jumps out of second into neutral when im flying with the throttle wide open . is this a sign of a dying gear box or is it just one of those things?

Streuth, you´re lucky!

Shortly after I bought mine it started dropping out of 2nd straight into 1st!

When I had a look the short arm on the output shaft was loose and the rose joints were none too smooth.

I tightened up the lose bit and oiled the tight bits and since then no probs.

I hope your cure is as simple.

what do you mean by the short arm on the output shaft? pics would be cool im relatively inexperienced cheers
