Thread pitch/guage of gear lever forcing rod-Skorpion

Hi,
Does anyone know the pitch of the thread on the gear lever forcing rod on a skorpion (marked 1 and 2 below)?

I ask this as I may need to shorten the rod and re thread it so as to raise the lever slightly. Is it correct that the thread on one end of the rod is a right hand thread and on the other end it is a left hand thread, or are they threaded the same?

If you have run out of adjustment on the standard footrest setup,you only need to move the lever on the gearchange shaft around one tooth on the spline in the direction required. If you have changed your footrest position to the rear you will need a longer rod,that is threaded M6 x 1.00mm pitch LH & RH each end.

The other quick workaround if you need to shorten a rod like this, is to put a Swan-neck into it, like this ............
