COSTA RICA MZ BAGGY

Postby alfredoenrique » Sun Apr 27, 2008 5:28 pm

Hi guys,

I just got transferred to Costa Rica to work in the family biz...I am taking my baggy and need some tires that will handle very well in rain conditions and at the same time handle off raod riodding through gravel, dirt, etc...Dont know if i will need another set of wheels and tires for completely offroad ridding...I have a SM 660....should I take any extra parts for normal wear and tear...brake pads, filters etc..

Thanks..

For tires, take a look at the thread below titled "Metzeler Racetec K1's." There's great info in there on the very few choices for more dirtable tires to fit the Baggy's 17" rims. Sounds like, if you're looking at mostly street riding with a good amount of rain and just a little dirt, you'll be happy with the Avon Distanzia rear/Pro Extreme Rain front combo that's discussed there.

Not a lot of help for more serious off-roading, other than to get the D/S conversion kit for the Baggy (21" front rim, 18" rear rim & other parts). That would open up a world of tire choices for you.

Don't have any info on parts availability there, but if UPS goes there, you're probably going to be OK.
