My sister lives in the middle of France. and I have never visited so I thought it was about time.
I thought of jumping on my ZZR or TRX yamaha my normal weapons of choice the ZZR is hard luggaged up and lardy and for the TRX I have throw overs tank bags tail bags , enough space for a girls belongings.
But I wanted to go on the MZ the problem being throw overs wont work cos of the high level evhaust. So off to the ex army store. 2x DDR NVA waterproof day bags @ £7.50 each perfect they came with straps and webbing .and will fit below the exhaust.
The bags are new and un issued but a bit floppy to strap on the bike so some spare tilling edging was zip tied to the bag to make a frame. This has worked great.
It's a bit more expensive than my normal bodge but I an happy with the result.

If you type DDR NVA bags into fleabay they are cheap and waterproof ..

one thing i learned on mc trips is how to pack for air travel

need something you forgot go to a used clothing store
or second hand store

have an item you have been taking and not using ,,,leave it at home and see if you really need it this time...

i trashed 2 very nice cameras in my first 10 years and not taking very many pictures

so now i seldom take a camera
