ISDT G5 value

Postby philtrophysport » Sat Jan 11, 2014 1:54 pm

Just spotted the ISDT rep on UK ebay, what's your guesses at how much this will go for?....rare as rocking horse poo 8)

Just out of interest does anyone know how much someone like Burwins would charge to strip and rebuild the motor,i'd love to bid on this but I don't have the confidence or the know-how to sort the problems that are listed.

Hi Phil, just as a guide, Martin Burwin rebuilt my ETS250 engine middle last year for 180 quid labour plus parts,so i guess it would be around the same. Well worth it if for can win the auction at a good price. Restored ISDT 250,s go for about 4k upwards ! Would be interested myself if i didnt need my cash to finish my Trophy sport. Cheers Keith.

Thanks for the info Keith, that price from Burwins seems quite reasonable ...the ISDT is still on my watch list :D

Yep. I'm watching that with lustful eyes too. Unfortunately it's a bit of my price range!

Well that's a bit of a surprise ,it went for £2750 I was expecting it to top £3k,maybe cos it was listed as a 'project',anyway its a potential bargain for some lucky person, shame I couldn't run to that kind of money

I thought it might have fetched more too. Maybe folk are put off in case there are unique parts needed that mightv'e been tricky to get hold of.
