TS 125 & 150 bottom ends the same ?

It's a while since I owned a MZ - a TS250 Supa-5. In a lot of ways I wished I'd still got it but an accident means I now prefer smaller machines.Still got the factory workshop manual and owners handbook though  In the garage are other bikes (CB92 Benly, CB400A, C50LAC, Vespa ET4 and Jawa 210) but recently I've got the urge for another bike - a project. I was looking for a TS125 / TS150 but came across a cheap 1959/60 Francis Barnett Falcon rolling chassis instead
The FB is little more than a frame, forks and swinging arm with rough rear wheel so a plan is developing. Rather than restore as original, that would be difficult plus the engine should be a AMC T20 which as a poor reputation, why not build a "period style" trail bike using MZ engine and wheels plus smaller parts. The more I think about this idea the more it appeals. I'm sure I can source the MZ parts from a scrap bike or somebodies unused spares pile but have a query about the engine which hopefully somebody can easilly answer.
Question therfore is are the TS 125 & TS150 bottom ends the same and it's just the top end that is different ?

Thanks.

Something like this?-

Looks very similar to the MZ engine, don`t they have the same origin,or is it the BSA Bantam/MZ?
Note lack of silencing!

It`s not this one is it? -

bantam is dkw engine in reverse so shift is on the english side
HD hummer is a bad copy of both the bantam and DKW yamaha made a copy also

drop one of the newer rt sm sx motors in it and have a daily driver that runs good

Stick with the stink wheel... cheap easy to work on and spares are easy to get hold of. Unfortunately spares for the new RT are thin on the ground in the UK at least

Spares pile? We've all got those ;)

I've no complete small TS engines, but many spare parts. Cases, covers, gearboxes, etc.

Steve
PS. I've also got stacks of CB400 twin stuff if you need anything for that one, especially engine related bits.

Hiya,
In the spares pile I don't suppose you have a usable crankshaft for sale? :)
Cheers
