My es starts / ticks over but doesn't run prpoerly..it isn't revving when I try to accelerate. I've heard that it could be the exhaust...can the baffles be removed and cleaned? or is it a case of buying a new exhaust JUST IN CASE?
That seems an expensive way of fault finding. Any ideas..or better still any mz experts in berkshire near heathrow airport, as I need help to get it on the road.
Idaelly I'd like Burwins to look at it but couriers are asking £100 just to get the bike from my house to burwins....
any help would be most welcome.

I have had two Trophies and one had a silencer that I could not take to bits and the one I have now is easily takeapartable!
Depending on what type you have there is a nut at the end of the silencer; this can be removed and the baffles taken out which can then be cleaned up. If it is the other type it's bit trickier.
What I did with my first one is took the silencer off the bike , sealed the engine end and then filled the pipe with a strong mix of caustic soda. Leave this in for a good days and then you will have to shake a truly godawful balck mess as the caustic will eat away at the carbon deposits in the pipe. Messy but it works.
Have you looked at the state of the plug? If it oiling up then your mixture is too rich it will foul the plug. This can be caused by the exhaust being blocked as you suspect, or the air filter being dirty and also by your timing being out. I would look at ignition first if I were you. Whenever my bikes were running rough I always suspected carburation problems and usually it was ignition related. Check your timing ( it should be around 2.5mm BTDC I think - but check up just to be sure). Also check that your points are clean and put a new plug in too. It may also be your coil breaking down once it's under load. I recently sold my wife's ETZ - when we had it it ran spot on as we only used for relatively short unstressed journeys. once it was sold the new owner started using it much harder and the coil was getting really hot. A new coil has sorted it.
Hope this helps - if some one wants to add anymore or contradict me I'm not easily offended!
I would have a look for you but I'm a little distance away in Lancaster!
