hi my ts 125 was running like a swiss watch,well it worked but last night i left the fuel turned on now it refuses to start i removed and cleaned the plug ..big fat spark.then i took the bottom off the carb to let out all the fuel ,but it still wont go even if i try to push start it just backfires when i stop pushing ....please help cos it was a great ride regards bob

I cannot think what could be causing this except that there may be too much fuel kicking about in the crank. Seems unlikely but I would take the plug out and either kick it over and over or push it about or equivilent in gear to clear everything. Use a new plug and see what transpires. They are very simple and problems are usual hidden because they are obvious.

I had the exact same problem on my TS125 but it also seemed like I had no compression as well.
No matter how much I tried it would not fire up , I thought that I had holed the piston !
Any way, I cleaned the wet plug again and with the fuel tap off and a little choke ( I know MZ call it the 'starter carb lever' ) I started pushing it in 1st gear . Like I said no compression.
Eventually after a lot , and I mean a lot of pushing it started with loads and loads of smoke , also it would not rev at first but after a few minutes and with the fuel tap now on it did start to rev up ok.
I'm not sure what happened but it seemed to have become very flooded and I presume the fuel had washed all the oil out of the bore hence the lack of compression. That's my idea anyway

By the sounds of that there was too much oil, remember they are premix so if there is flooding then there is lots of oil too.

hi thanks for your help i tryed it again and it started ran like a pig cut out and would not even fire once after that. i cleaned the plug about 10 times but nowt carnt understand as it was an easy starter . bob
