MZ/MuZ Riders

Hello,
I had a new Continental K112 rear tyre 350 16 fitted to my MZ ETZ 125 a few days ago. I ran about 70 miles when the tyre blew. On examination, the dealer (who fitted it) found no puncture, only the tube had blown. He has fitted another tube and I have yet to ride the bike again but I am concerned to why this happened and if it will again. The Continental website does state that no tyre is suitable for the ETZ. Why would this be, please if anyone knows? What are the consequences if I continue to ride the bike with this tyre on? Also the dealer originally had some difficulty lining up the rim correctly at first - is this to do with causing the tyre blowout? The dealer has asked me to pay for another tube if the tyre does not blow again. I would add that I asked him beforehand about fitting a Contental K type tyre because I noticed other MZ owners had done so and he agreed to order me one.

Always change like a pair: new tyre and new tube. Some riders change only tyres, never tubes and this is very dangerous because MZ ETZ
bikes left the factory about 20 years ago. The best is a good brand tube -for me Michelin- and of course the correct size. The dealer
had difficulty lining up the rim perhaps the original size is 325 16. Is better a bigger size? I think not, it more weigth and friction for a
low power bike. I tested in ETZ 125 up one size is the better for the front tyre.

It was a new tube. The chap has fitted a second tube - he wants me to go back and pay for it if it doesn't blow again within a week. I don't know if I want to deal with him again as I've already spent £460 in total, having some work done with him! what do you think?

Paul, I don´t known the UK laws.

Here the law is clear: three months or 2,000 kms. warranty all pieces or repairs in the work-shop.
No puncture = defective tube; a one new tube free.

So far-so good at the moment, with this new tube.

I had this reply to my email from Continental Tyres (Two Wheel) UK:

"You should always fit a new Continental tube when fitting a new Continental
tyre but often the old tube is reused and this is quite often the result.
We do not make a 325-16 tyre which is why there is no recommendation for
your machine on the web site. I assume you have fitted the 350-16, as this
is not the original size and has not been tested it can not be recommended."

Any comments are welcome; should I be riding with a 350 tyre? Obviously Continental state what they do to cover their own backs, however, is it universally accepted to put on a different size tyre? I think I may have had a larger size before? The tube was new but not a Continental.
