So long guys....again.

Well it's time to go again, I sold the TS yesterday.

Much as I like the way it performs, I find it just a little too physically small, and I always felt vulnerable when riding it so it had to go.

Anyway, the MZ shaped hole in the garage is shortly being filled with a Yamaha DT400 - as you know they are a 400cc single 2 stroke, now that bike really is my size.

As with the TS it is another non running project, so I'll have plenty of challenges with it I am sure. It was at the "right price" so it would have been rude not to have bought it

Anyway, I shall no doubt still visit this site, and throw in any comments where I think I can help someone.

Thanks to everyone, and I do mean everyone who helped me with the TS, this is a really great site and a credit to everyone on it.

Now where is that Yamaha workshop manual...............

Well.. you've apparently left at least once, so that means you may yet come back again!

One bike each is not enough for the soul... One needs many... I am interested in your Yamaha though, sounds nice- so you're into enduro? 400cc is beefy too. I would love to do some more offroading on my '79 Suzuki TS185ER...

Blurredman - you are right, a man needs more than one bike to keep them sane / feed the soul.

Think this may be the 3rd time I have "left" and you are right I may be back sometime.

Not really a fan of Enduro, I just like the style.

Been pondering one of these 400's for a while - a big 2T single, what's not to like !! Hope you get some off roading in on your TS 185.

Also considered a TS 400, but they tend to be more expensive than the Yam.

Reckoning on about a year to get the Yam up to scratch -lets see what happens.

Bloke I am selling my TS to is very keen and intends on using it for old bike runs so it will be well looked after.

That looks a beast. Lovely condition too. American import I see what with the red rear indicators- I really like that feature. :-D :-D

Well spotted on the rear indicators - it is an American import, all the way from Ohio.

If the title that came with it is to be believed, and there is no reason to think otherwise, it is a one owner bike, and with under 2000 miles on the clock.

Aparrently the previous owner buys loads of bikes, rides them for a short time gets bored with them and parks them up, just starting them up from time to time, as his shed fills up he just sells off the oldest ones.

It certainly sounds like a low mileage engine, starts and runs really well.

In the process of getting it registered at the moment, also stripping most of it down to check, clean, gease, oil etc, plus new tyres and brake shoes.

Taking my time so may not see the road until next year, unlike the TS I find that it is a good "fit"", and although a small bike by todays standards it feels really comfortable to sit on.

Happy days.
