Another kick start issue

Postby Deedum9 » Tue Oct 22, 2013 5:39 am

it was all going well for a while......
the trusty old Mz301 (1995) was running fine and quite well actually
put a new plug in last night and started her up and all running well

been out this morning and no dash lights (assume dead battery ? ) BUT first kick and the kickstart goes
all floppy and now hangs half way down the bike ! it still kicks a bit lower than normal but not much travel and doesn't return back to where it should.

PLEASE help........what now :|
I like my Hayabusa, cus it just works :(
but I like a challenge :)

Could be a broken kickstart spring. Bit of a pain to replace which is why some people just use a bungee to hold it up!
ES250 Doppelport, ES250, ES250/1, ES250/2,ETS 250, ES150, ETS150, BK350, IWL Pitty, SR56 Wiesel, SR59 Berlin, Troll............ and thats just the German two strokes!

Any idea why the ignition lights have gone off though, I charged the battery and it isn't that ?

Well it is an mz........I guess coincidental, but checked wires to battery and everywhere else and it now has life.
It still kicks over and thank you for the advice, now donning a lovely rubber strap holding up the kickstart, but she lives another day - thank you
