Hello,
I've bought a new air filter for my 301. It's arrived in a sealed bag.
Can I just do a straight replacement with the old one or do I have to treat it with some kind of oil before fitting?
I've tried to google this but I can't work out whether it's just newer bikes this has to be done with or whether it applies to older bikes like MZs as well.
Any help gratefully received.
Thank you.

It's a standard car type dry air filter element, no oiling needed.

its dry and similar in size to the one in the BMW CHOPPER bike R1200C i think
homemade adaptor needed to make that one fit

It is a car type (very similar to a morris minor one in dimensions).
Thank you for confirming it's a intended to be dry.

Does it look like this one ?
Then it is a dry filter made from filter-paper.
No use of oiling it....

A morris minor 1098 one fits with minor trimming. Last one I bought was around a fiver.
