Service intervals and what to do on a black panther

Postby atlej » Wed Apr 13, 2005 6:39 am

Have bought me an 2002 black panther her in Norway. Here are no dealers so finding information is not easy.

Kan anyone help med with a service plan for the bike (now 5200 km)

Repair manual on bike or just engine ? Elektronic version ?

my service routine:

check oil level and top every 200-300 miles, inspect brake pads, sprocket bolts, chain, and spokes, and tire pressures

change oil and oil filter every 2500 miles with 5w-40 synthetic oil, lube swing arm and suspension.

adjust valves every 3 oil changes or once a year.

the rest of the maintenance is personal preference, like brake fluid changes, cable lubing, ect.....

good luck!!

BTW, mine has just over 10,000 miles on it now.
